Joan and Judi will share insights and experiences from their unique Spring 2019 journey through the various sewing,  arts, and crafts communities of South Africa, including Isiphethu Embroidery, Basotho and Ndebele blankets, Mapula Embroidery, Shweshwe fabric, Zulu beadwork, mohair and other wonderful African textiles. This is a truly amazing opportunity to hear about their odyssey while it is still fresh in recent memory!

Workshop: Flower Take-Out

Did you ever wonder what to do with all your 1 or 2 inch pieces of ribbon or those little piles of  beads left over from other projects? Well never throw them out again! Learn how to make little ribbon  flowers into charms and create a beautiful necklace. We will use small pieces of ribbon and beads and make several Flower Power ribbon flowers. You will receive a little handmade book with several ideas  for the little ribbon flowers.
