Sue is one of our local, creative artists who teaches classes in surface design, fabric dyeing, art to wear, vintage flowers, shibori, sashiko and bead embroidery, machine felting and beading embellishment. Sue studied with a Chinese Master to learn Sumi painting techniques. She will share her journey from “there to here”.

Workshop: Ribbon Blossoms for Your Wearables
Learn the techniques of working with vintage ribbon to create beautiful ribbon flowers that can be used as accessories for hats, coats and purses. In class we will attach them to sachets filled with lavender. We will use some vintage ribbon from France, some Hannah silk ribbon and other embellishments. You will learn to use the Amanda Pleater to crimp your ribbon into wonderful shapes.
