Lecture:  What’s New in the World of Felting

Felt designers from the United States, and on every continent, are making art-to-wear, sculpture, wall art or functional items for use in the home.  As textile art, the color, depth, dimension and beauty of every piece is guaranteed to inspire conversation and awe.  Each piece has been individually created and the artists say they are truly alluring.  Shibori hand-dyed silks or cotton are blended and fused with fine Merino wool fibers, which are then felted by hand.  Marilou will show us the felt artists who are shaking up the world with their amazing creations.
