Terry has been helping her students discover the world of serging for over 20 years.  Terry earned her BS in Textiles and Clothing from San Jose State.  She has taught sewing and serging in the Bay Area at various locations.  You will enjoy a fun day of learning the basics of your machine, and then taking those basics further.  Terry’s students appreciate her easy going approach to a sometimes intimidating sewing subject.  Whatever your sewing and serging level, you will come away more confident and motivated to use your serger.

Is your serger a mystery to you? Are you thinking it should do more than just finish edges?  The lecture will begin with the basics of serging, the stitches and threads, what they do, how they work and some tips for successful serging.  Next, you’ll learn how to use the stitches creatively, incorporating decorative threads and creative ideas to expand your serging repertoire.
